About Us

Grazing Fields Farm has been owned by Kathy and Mike Fletcher since 1995,
when they began operating the farm
as a hunter, jumper and equitation
training and horse show facility.
Situated on eighty picturesque acres in Buzzards Bay, MA, the farm was originally home to Hope Garland Ingersoll's Penrhyn Welsh Ponies and Cobs.

Kathy Fletcher - A Lake Erie College graduate, Kathy started her riding career at a local Cape Cod barn, winning a ribbon on a borrowed horse at the Maclay finals at Madison Square Garden. After spending a year with George Morris as a working student, Kathy’s career path led her to showing and training for Fran and Joe Dotoli, Riverwind Farm, and Fieldstone Farm. Under Kathy's leadership, Grazing Fields Farm has produced some of the region's top young riders and horsemen and women.  Kathy and Mike's daughter Emma is following in her mother's footsteps, becoming a well-rounded young rider in the hunter and equitation rings.

Jen Ritucci - Jen grew up in Massachusetts, eventually leaving to ride the Canada Circuit for seven years. Jen rides for and works with clients and their horses across all levels. She has had success in the Jumpers up through Grand Prix level as well as Hunter Derbies. Jen also placed third twice at New England Finals.

Nancy Murphy - Nancy grew up on the South Shore of Massachusetts, riding and showing as a junior at local and "A" shows. While attending Roger Williams University, she also taught at local stables. Nancy continued teaching and training and came to work at Grazing Fields in 2001. Nancy is also a USEF Recorded judge in Hunters, Jumpers, and Equitation.

Amber Woodruff - Amber is a Cape Cod native whose lifelong passion for horses began at age 7. She spent her early years riding at Holly Hill Farm, before joining Grazing Fields for her final junior years. Along the way, Amber won five local junior Championships as well as the Sportsmanship Award at the Massachusetts Horseman's Council Days of Champions. After attending college, Amber began her professional career in at The Galloping Field in Richmond, Virginia. Preferring her native New England, Amber returned to the area and freelanced at several local barns before returning to Grazing Fields in 2009. Amber loves to teach and ride, especially green horses.
